Digital Photo Frame Rca Input

We’re often asked what a simple way to add a display to a project is and we even hinted at this yesterday with the HMD comparison. The answer is: we’re not really sure. In the past, the go to was PSOne add on displays. They accept composite input which means you can painlessly attach almost any other consumer device with video out. The problem is they’re a little large. Then there’s the spy video car HMD. It’s black and white and accepts composite video too. It’s a little small though, which makes it difficult to work with outside of the original application. So, Hack-a-Day readers, what have you used as a simple palm sized portable display in your projects?Show filters Sort by Most relevant Most helpful Newest to oldest Oldest to newest High to low rating Low to high rating Age 18-24 25-34 35-44 45-54 55-64 65 and older Gender Male Female I waited approximately 2 months to review this item, and so far it has been a perfect ornament in my house, very good quality and features.

I read on some reviews that it would not auto start the slide show when programmed to auto on and auto off, well I can tell that I programmed it to auto off at 10 pm and auto on at 10 am, and always starts the slide show no problems automatically, also it has a very intuitive interface with many features it looks like a tablet OS, you can add/remove photos very quickly, and use the external usb or sd cards to expand the disk space. I am using an external usb stick with thousands of photos, and all of them are displayed as expected. The only thing I had to do to get the best out of it was to adjust or remove all portrait photos, it is not good to mix formats, either you use it as landscape or as portrait, because mixing make one of the picture format look either cropped or expanded, and it looks awful. But as long as you don't mix, the display quality is very crisp and nice. It has both internal memory AND can accept external memory devices as well. This made it perfect as a Mother's Day gift in that I could pre-load about 300 pictures or so into the internal memory and ship it to Mom. I had set it so that when it was plugged in it would just run through all the pictures in all the folders at a medium rate of speed.

Cheap Small Load MoversHowever, since it had an external memory input I could send her (via snail mail) a thumb drive with a new batch of pictures for her to enjoy.

Overall, I was very pleased with the picture quality, picture size, and memory size. I did not make use of the video clip capability or the MP-3 player aspect - but those are neat features. I will probably get another one for my wife at the next gift getting occasion and pre-populate it with a mess of pictures and video clips.

Jovani White Strapless Prom DressI'm a bit technical, so little things are sometimes important to me...
Best Digital Camera $600What I didn't like: - 512MB was actually 300MB usable (I called support to confirm)

- No internal battery, so Date/Time reset when unplugging (every time ;( ) - Factory default mode is set to UDISK, so guess what, if you want to use your USB to transfer files, you have to go back to settings and change it to PC mode. (again annoying if you're going back and forth testing it) I would recommend it to the average user who just have it plugged in the whole time, and not play with the settings. Aluratek has the potential but it's the little things that make me look at other brands... Yes () No (8) Report Yes () No (8) we bought this frame after returning the panasonic brand. I am so glad we got this one instead which is the one we originally purchased, but they don't carry it in the store. It was so quick and easy to setup. I got my SD filled it with photos put it in the frame and with a few little options for setup was up in running in about 5 minutes. We have not taken advantage of all the other features like the video and sound options. I love the option that you can set how long to display each photo, have the auto off/on feature, if you want the show to repeat, and so many more.

i would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a digital photo frame. Also word to the wise always format your SD cards in fat32 never ntfs as they are not compatible with the photo frames. I had mine originally formatted this way and it didn't work as soon as I reformatted it to fat32 I was golden. Yes () No (1) Report Yes () No (1) I love this product, but did have some issues. To connect to your pc you have to go to settings select down to command and third line down change from ufsb i think to pc, it doesnt automatically connect once you connect it to your pc, like the instructions state. The instruction booklet is not that great. Uploading photos is easy, I however had to call the support line, to one figure out how to connect to my pc, and then how to upload videos and music. The tech support line emailied me a converting download immeaditaly. The converting download is very simple to do with the music to mp3. However I did have to call back about converting movies to avi.

After doing the converting it still kept telling me invalid file on my photo frame. When I called back they sent me to a website where the support line could access my pc and see the screen on my pc. He went into the conerting download changed the pic size needed and etc, saved it to my converting download and then from there I was able to convert my videos and upload to my photo frame. After I was finished, I was very impressed with the product. I have currently 5 songs, 5 short clips of videos of my child, and around 70 photos and still have plenty of room on my frame. Love it so much even with the little trouble I had to figure out how to use it, I'm buying 2 more, using all 3 of them for christmas gifts. Yes () No (0) Report Yes () No (0) Really large screen with crisp images. It resizes all formats to fit the screen. Was up an running in 5 minutes flat. Go for it, you will not be disappointed. The remote can be really slow at times.( I would have given 5 stars if that was more responsive.

The whole point of having a remote is to use it from more than 2 feet) Yes () No (5) Report Yes () No (5) Verified purchaser I paid $89 for a Pandigital frame from Bed Bath & Beyond a couple of years ago. The frame was ok -- stand wasn't great and the picture size was smaller. It started freezing on one picture and flipping other pictures. I read some of the reviews on the Aluratek and decided to take a chance. The frame is FANTASTIC. My husband took it out of the box, put in the SIM card from the other frame, and that was it. Picture quality is amazing! I'm definitely getting another one! Yes () No (0) Report Yes () No (0) Verified purchaser Purchased as a birthday gift for a close friend. Quickly and easily set it up with date/time, slide transition, slide speed, auto on/off, and loaded about 100 pictures from my MAC using the USB cable. I loaded pictures in both landscape and portrait layout and it worked just fine (doesn't stretch the picture or display portrait layouts in landscape).

Picture is good quality and the remote is an added bonus that helps speed up set-up. The only thing that I did not care for was that when I selected the "random" option for the order in which the pictures are displayed on screen, it seemed to repeat several pictures too often. For example, it would display a certain picture and then 4 or 5 images later, show that same picture again. So, I just set the order to "order," which displays the pictures in the order in which they were loaded and it cycled through all 100 without repeating any of the images. Not ideal in my opinion, as I suspect that most people would want the pictures to shuffle. The frame also feels a little cheap (the material is plastic), but for the money this product does the job. Yes (3) No (0) Report Yes (3) No (0) I got this as my first digital frame, to stockpile pictures of my newborn at the office. I did not want to spend too much money and the 512 MB internal memory meant I didn't have to buy an extra memory card, like most frames.

The frame works great right out of the box. Plugged it into my computer, loaded up the pics like I would a USB and and turned it on. they played just great. The only down side is that portrait pictures need to be rotated (rotate button on the remote), but the rotate setting does not seem to save. The next time that picture comes up in the slide show, it's on it's side again. Also, this was my first time ordering from Walmart online and the process was very quick and painless. so much better than going to the store, finding what you are looking for or someone to tell you it's out of stock and hiking out of the store again. I ordered the frame on a Monday and it was delivered on Wednesday with no shipping charges at all. This product works great! I would recommend this digital photo frame to anyone looking for a great gift to give to someone of any age! The only thing I would change would be to operate it by battery and not by a plug in. Otherwise, this product works really well, and the display is great!
